Masters of Physiotherapy, University of Canberra 2020
SPECIAL INTERESTS: AGED CARE, EXERCISE, FITNESS & SPORTS REHABILITATION, NEUROLOGICAL REHABILITATION INCLUDING STROKE AND MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
James joined the Southside Physio Mobile team following completion of his Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra. James took the scenic route to physio, first completing a Bachelor of Science, a Graduate Certificate in Human Movement and Certificates 3 & 4 in Fitness.
James' interest in physiotherapy has been shaped by his personal experience with injury management while playing AFL and over 5 years in the fitness industry as a personal trainer. This has provided James with valuable experience in goal development, targeted exercise prescription and coaching for all ages and abilities. His time studying during the Masters increased his interest in aged care and drove home the importance of physical therapy and exercise for improved quality of life as we age. Along with the opportunity to meet people in their own home, James is excited about the potential for mobile physio to place physiotherapy treatments into the context of the home environment. He sees this as a fantastic opportunity to increase the specificity of your programs to your life and your goals.
Outside of work hours James continues to indulge in his passion for sport by playing AFL and challenges his heart health through many painful hours supporting Essendon and Arsenal. He has recently taken to learning how to do the cryptic crossword and play golf, both of which are proving worthy opponents.
James's hours at Southside Physio Mobile are:-
Monday and Wednesday 11am - 7pm
Tuesday and Thursday 9am - 5pm
Friday 8am - 4pm
