Lauren Heydenrych

Lauren is a dedicated physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, completed in 2010. She has specialized training in Neurodevelopmental Therapy, having successfully finished both the basic and advanced courses in early intervention and treatment of children and infants. Most recently, in 2023, Lauren expanded her expertise by completing a foundation course in yoga therapy specifically for children.

With a strong passion for working with the paediatric population, Lauren focuses on individuals from infancy through young adulthood. Her commitment to evidence-based therapy drives her to deliver engaging and meaningful interventions tailored to each child’s unique needs. Her practice encompasses a wide range of therapies, including exercises that enhance strength and mobility, training for motor function, and support for sensory and behavioural development.

Lauren places great importance on fostering collaborative relationships with each child’s primary care team, ensuring that the progress made in therapy is relevant and beneficial for both the child and their family.

Outside of her professional endeavours, Lauren enjoys delving into the latest research in physiotherapy, cherishing quality time with her family, and indulging in activities such as reading, practicing yoga, and running.
