In 2023, Marine graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, completing an Honours project on the iliotibial band in female runners. Prior to becoming a Physiotherapist, Marine completed a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) at the ANU. Combining Psychology and Physiotherapy, Marine strongly believes in a holistic approach to rehabilitation, promoting patient-centred care and ensuring the client’s needs are always at the forefront of mutually agreed-upon decisions.
Marine experienced the benefits of Physiotherapy at a young age, often being riddled with sporting and complex chronic pain injuries due to tennis, trail running, skiing, football (soccer), ultimate frisbee, and surfing. From this, she developed a very keen interest in helping prevent and rehabilitate sports-related injuries in others. Through her studies, Marine gained experience working with local and elite football, AFL, and rugby union clubs, notably the Brumbies Super W team.
Marine’s other clinical interests include the management of running injuries, knee and ankle injuries, post-operative rehabilitation of various kinds, and working with children and teens to facilitate and empower their return to normal everyday fun and activities. She believes combining manual therapy, functional exercises, and education are key to empowering you to reach your goals, no matter how big or small.
Marine has also completed additional training in Dry Needling, Non-operative ACL management, GLA:D Back.
Marine enjoys leading an active lifestyle outside of work, from surfing or hiking on weekends to going to the gym and playing ultimate frisbee. She is a passionate home DIYer, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends and travelling to new places.
